Welcome to Project Blinds. By placing an order with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms are designed to ensure a clear understanding of our services and to protect both our customers and our business.

1. Bespoke Products

All of our blinds, shutters, and automated window solutions are custom-made to your specifications. As such:

  • Orders cannot be cancelled, returned, or exchanged once confirmed and production has begun.

  • Please ensure that all measurements, specifications, and selections are correct at the time of ordering.

  • This policy does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

2. Payment Terms

To ensure transparency and smooth order processing, our payment structure is as follows:

  • 50% Deposit – Required to confirm your order. No products will be ordered or manufactured until the deposit has been received.

  • 40% Payment – Due once your products arrive and prior to installation.

  • 10% Final Payment – Payable upon completion of installation.

We accept a variety of payment methods and all payments must be received in full by the specified stages.

3. Lead Times & Delivery

Estimated production and shipping times are:

  • Blinds: Approximately 8 weeks

  • Shutters: Approximately 16 weeks

While we do our best to meet these timeframes, they are estimates only. Delays due to manufacturing or shipping are outside of our control, and we appreciate your understanding.

4. Installation

Our team will contact you once your products have arrived to arrange a convenient installation date. Installations are typically scheduled 2–3 weeks in advance, subject to availability.

Our installers require a safe, clear working area. Any additional work required on-site due to obstructions or access issues may result in an additional charge.

Minor Issues or Defects:
At the time of installation, if our fitting manager discovers any minor issues or defects with the installation, the final payment amount will be adjusted. We will subtract £100 from the final payment total, which will be held by the customer.

  • The £100 hold will be due for payment upon completion of the final fitting.

  • If the final payment is less than £100, the customer may withhold the remaining balance until the issue is resolved and rectified.

5. Warranty

We stand behind the quality of our products and offer the following warranties:

  • Blinds: 1-year warranty

  • Shutters: 5-year warranty

The warranty covers manufacturing defects and issues arising under normal residential use. It does not cover general wear and tear, misuse, accidental damage, or natural fading.

If a product is outside of the warranty period, we offer a repair service:

  • Call-out Charge: £150 (includes first hour of labour)

  • Additional costs may apply for parts or extended labour.

In some cases, a site visit may not be required. We may ask for photos or a short video of the issue to assess whether remote troubleshooting is possible.

6. Returns & Cancellations

Due to the bespoke nature of our products, we do not accept returns or exchanges. Orders may only be cancelled prior to the start of production.

This does not affect your statutory rights in the event that a product is faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose.

7. Liability

Project Blinds shall not be liable for:

  • Delays caused by third parties, suppliers, or unforeseen circumstances

  • Damage arising from improper use, handling, or maintenance after installation

  • Any loss or damage not foreseeable at the time of contract

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
